A Solid Foundation Makes a Difference

pyramid.jpg

It all starts with a solid foundation…a well laid plan.

This was taken during our scavenger hunt. Marisa and I are on the bottom, while Colleen is on the top. Alli took the picture.

You’d think knowing that a solid foundation makes a difference, that I’d always follow that plan. Ha, hardly. I’m a spontaneous, fly by the seat of my pants kind of girl. (By the way, the green thing in Colleen’s was our mascot made out of a pipe cleaner, in case you wondered)

I’ve taken on a lot of projects lately, and as much as I know I should slow down and do one thing at a time, it’s never been my style. Usually, this works for me. This week, I feel overwhelmed. I’ll catch up and have things under control in about 2 weeks, but until then, I feel like I’ve taken on a lot of extra stuff.

Tomorrow, I head down to the shore to do some more research and picture taking for my LBI website (Long Beach Island Summers). After that, I have to sort through my Wildwood site, my Gettysburg site, I have skin care sites, stores, blogs, niche topic sites and more. Eeeeeeee….Slow down Deb! I keep telling myself, but my brain is working in overdrive.

I go through these creative spurts and have to write everything down, because the ideas come so fast. After I get it all out on paper, then I have to play catch up. I wish I was organized, because then I’d have an awesome checklist to get everything done. I have about 40 sticky notes on my dsek, and pads everywhere, on top of an overcrowded desktop on my PC!

Anyway, I’ve rambled on enough. There’s work to be done, so I guess I should dive in!
