Giving a Dog Meds
Glucosamine is on my dog’s menu now. In fact he gets it 2x a day for a week, then cuts back to once daily. The stuff comes in a powder form, so here I am in the kitchen, trying to figure out how to give him his new powder.
I put the first bit on cheese and rolled it up…no good, he drops the cheese on the ground and works around it! I’m going to make some peanut butter balls I think and try to put it inside! Sure, just sprinkle it on his food, he’ll eat it…yeah, that’s not going to be happening!
Why don’t they make these things taste better? Put it in the form of a chewy treat, maybe beef flavored gravy…that would be too easy. How about a pill, just pop it in and we’ll be fine. Nope, it’s powder…and it doesn’t even smell good…not even to a dog!
